Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial/Head & Neck Surgeon
I completed a degree in Dentistry at the Royal London Hospital in 1988, and in Medicine at Imperial College, University of London, in 1996. I gained both my Dental and Surgical Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons, England and underwent higher surgical training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, University College Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Eastman Dental Hospital and St George's Hospital Medical School.
I was appointed Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Trust (now Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust) in 2004.
My main interest is in the management of patients with head and neck cancer and I am part of a multidisciplinary team based at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow where I work closely with ENT Surgeons, Oncologists and other Support Staff. I treat patients with mouth, jaw and neck cancer including microsurgical flap reconstruction and rehabilitation with prostheses and dental implants. My other interests include facial trauma surgery, salivary gland diseases, jaw joint problems, dentoalveolar surgery (wisdom teeth, buried roots and jaw cysts), and the management of general oral mucosal problems such as ulcers, white patches and other soft tissue lesions.
I am a member of the British Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS) and British Association of Head & Neck Oncologists (BAHNO). I am on the Oral Surgery specialist list.
I am married with 3 children, and enjoy walking, gardening, travel, tropical fish-keeping and wildlife photography.
